Book review: Talk Bookish to Me by Kate Bromley

I find that sometimes people look down on romantic comedies, as if they aren’t part of a genre to be admired or respected. I think that if a book makes you happy and it is something you enjoy, you should be as proud to talk about it as a literary classic or a new crime thriller.

Talk Bookish to Me definitely falls into this category. It’s a deliciously light rom com that I devoured in a single day. Not only is the main character as obsessed with books as I am, there’s a wonderful trip to Rome (my favourite European city) and plenty of laughs, too.

This books feels thoroughly ‘modern’. By that, I mean there’s talk of being a ‘bookstagrammer’ (someone who shares beautiful pictures of books on Instagram) and a wedding that feels very ‘on trend’ right now.

If you’re looking for a book that’ll help you escape for a little while into a place of fun, fiction and enviable freedom, Talk Bookish To Me could definitely be your next favourite read.
